Mentorship & Life Coaching
More Than a Scholarship β A Lifelong Support System
At The Maryville Foundation, we donβt just fund education β we walk with our students every step of the way. Through personalized mentorship and life coaching, we help young people unlock their potential, grow in faith and character, and prepare for the real world.
Why Mentorship Matters
Many students from low-income backgrounds face challenges beyond tuition β fear, self-doubt, and lack of guidance. Our mentorship program bridges this gap by:
π± Encouraging confidence and identity formation
π Providing academic and career guidance
π Offering spiritual growth and moral support
π¬ Equipping students with life and leadership skills
π€ Building lasting relationships with mentors who care
This is not just sponsorship β itβs a relationship that builds dignity, accountability, and transformation.
How It Works
π 95% of students say their mentors gave them the emotional strength to push through college.
π 80% of alumni continue mentoring others after graduation β creating a ripple effect of transformation.
π Students in our mentorship program are 3x more likely to complete their degree compared to unsupported peers.
1. Matching with a Mentor
Each student is paired with a trained mentor who understands their journey and goals.
2. Monthly Check-ins & Life Coaching Sessions
Mentors provide academic advice, emotional support, and faith-based coaching through regular virtual or in-person sessions.
3. Workshops & Group Sessions
Students attend quarterly coaching events on topics like time management, career planning, financial literacy, and mental wellness.
4. Ongoing Support Until Graduation and Beyond
The relationship doesnβt end with school. Many mentors continue to guide their mentees into their early careers and adult life.
